This is a beautiful log home constructed in 2003. The home is 2250 square footage with a 1600 sq. foot wrap around porch. On the main floor there is a beautiful living room area with wonderful natural lighting from the large crank out Pella windows, an open concept kitchen and dining area with French doors leading out onto the back porch and adjacent deck and an extra wide window at the sink providing a beautiful view. The kitchen is equipped with a Kenmore double door refrigerator with ice/water dispenser in door, a Kenmore gas stove and Kenmore dishwasher. There is an island that provides convenient preparation and eating space as well as drawer and lower shelving space. There are beautiful oak cabinets with pull-outs for can goods and dishes, a lazy susan and an in cabinet pantry and a large walk in pantry providing lots of storage space.
Also on the main floor is a bedroom and a large walkin cedar closet. This room has two windows overlooking the creek and side yard providing not only ample natural lighting but beautiful views.
There is a large bathroom with a tub/shower with water jets, a pedestal sink and a corner cabinet for storage.
Downstairs in the finished walkout basement is another bedroom with two windows, a cedar closet with mirrored doors and an attached bathroom with a large walkin shower. There is designated space for the third bedroom but instead of walling it off we opted to include it in the family room area that includes a fireplace, a space for my husband's work station, an office area for the computer a TV area and plenty of run around area for the grand children! The third bedrooom would be very easy to add if desired. The third bedroom could easily be framed in and we've reduced our price to compensate for that cost. We also have another large room for the laundry area that included a Kenmore washer and dryer and provides extra space for a freezer or storage cabinetry if desired. This basement walks out onto an area overlooking Moots creeks and the valley and the outside basement wall is finished in field stone and looks beautiful! There are steps leading up to the "grilling" deck and to the wrap around porch. On top of all this space is the attic that has easy access stairs and provides wonderful storage space. At the front of the house we enjoy sitting on the wrap around porch enjoying the view of the yard, pond and in the Spring the fragrance of the Lilacs lining the front of the porch. This is truly a wonderful place to live.
Thanks to the Lennox Elite furnace and central air conditioner, the heat and cooling bills are minimal. The property taxes are $1230 per year.
This home is practically maintenance free, is ready to move in and is a pleasure to have as a home. Our home sits on a beautiful 5.6 acres of wooded property that offers privacy and yet is close enough to town to offer convenience only 25 minutes from Purdue Campus.
There is abundant wildlife including deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit and fox and is an awesome place for pets. There is enough property to include additional out buildings or a barn and pasture area for animals if desired. It's a great place for hunting.
There is a 24'x24' storage shed with a wood burner stove, a Cub Cadet Zero Turn mower and yard tools and other equipment. All of which can be negotiated with the sale of the house. There are other items that can be negotiated with the price of the home.

Hi, I am Paula's Aunt Cee. I have been around to see this wonderful log home come into existence. Even though the pictures are great, they still dont do justice to the house, and property. My husband and I have spent many many weekends camped out in Paula and Craigs front yard. And of course we brought along our besr friends Bob and Pat. Both families pulled our travel trailors in thier yard near the pond, awnings, lawn chairs and all. The kids supplied us with electricity and water. Of an evening Craig would build a big ole bon fire out by the drive and we would cook our supper on the fire. Then after dinner we would sit around the fire and swap stories.
The property itself is perfect for people who love the outdoors. The house is simply beautiful, and in the spring, the property is simply breath taking, and in the fall it is truly awesome.
Its a perfect place to retire, or, raise a family. A wonderful place for fishing for the kids, and plenty of room to run. Lots of room for family get togethers.
I am going to miss my niece and nephew when they leave, but, I will do so knowing they are going to be with thier grandbabies and that will make me happy. Besides, it will give me a great vacation spot in Texas !
